Keystone is one of the largest real estate consulting and appraisal firms in the interior of British Columbia and operates out of three main locations: Nelson, Trail, and Cranbrook. All appraisers on the Keystone team are designated through the Appraisal Institute of Canada and all our reports meet the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
The firm’s current multi-partner model focuses the team’s range of experience and professional skill set into the various geographical and economic sectors. This specialization and focus provide a higher level of engagement and knowledge which is delivered along an efficient, multi-office channel.
MEET OUR TEAM
Consulting Partner, BSc (Hons)
Oliver trained in the City of London commercial banking sector and has been a senior level executive in the commercial real estate sector since the 1990’s. He has comprehensive development and project management experience and heads the real estate consulting and land acquisition services department, serving a range of public, private and non-profit clients. He is currently the Program Director for one of Canada’s largest and most complex voluntary land acquisition projects.
Commercial Partner, AACI, P.App.
Rob is an AACI, P.App. designated real estate appraiser with extensive experience in both the private and public sector. He is a graduate of the University of Victoria’s Peter B. Gustavson School of Business, he holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation from the University of British Columbia, and he is also a member of the BC Expropriation Society. He is our Commercial Partner responsible for valuation assignments across the East, West, and Boundary regions of the Kootenays.
Appraiser, AIC Candidate Member
Leah is a candidate member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and joined the Keystone team in 2021. Leah has a Bachelor of Business in Real Estate from Thompson Rivers University and is working toward her AACI designation. In addition to her most recent work in the Kootenays, her former appraisal work in northern Alberta and the Okanagan has given her experience in a variety of commercial and residential property types. Leah was drawn to the Kootenays by a love for outdoor activities, the sense of community, and the beauty of the land.
Appraiser, AIC Candidate Member
Matt is a Candidate Member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and joined the Keystone team in 2019 after an extensive career in the public sector. Matt has a Bachelor of Management (BMgt) degree from the University of Lethbridge and is registered in the Post-Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation Program through the University of British Columbia. Matt has extensive experience with residential, industrial, commercial, First Nations land, and investment portfolios, and regularly completes appraisal assignments across the East, West, and Boundary regions of the Kootenays.

Shannon is our client services coordinator and research assistant. She is a key member of the team that ensures our work is delivered to you on time. With extensive experience in customer service and review work, she follows each assignment through to completion to ensure that your needs are met in a timely manner.

Cadre holds a master’s degree in landscape architecture and an undergraduate degree in environmental design. She has experience working with private development as a consultant in a number of capacities and supports the project management and consulting services at Keystone.
